Rick 'Judas' Parry a la puñetera calle

Según nos informa Mode, el diario Echo anuncia la destitución de Rick Parry, lo que puede significar la continuidad de Rafa Benítez al frente del equipo. Una buena noticia para la familia red.
Director ejecutivo del club de Anfield desde 1998 cuando de la mano de David Moores, entró en la directiva del club, Parry se convirtió en el foco de todas las suspicacias por parte de los aficionados, al ser el máximo responsable en las negociaciones en el proceso de venta del club, inicialmente a un conglomerado de capital de Dubai, negociaciones que no fructificaron, para posteriormente oficilizar la adquisición del club por parte de los magnates norteamericanos George Gillett y Tom Hicks, actuales propietarios del Liverpool FC.
Parry ha anunciado su marcha del club al finalizar el presente ejercicio, rindiendo toda clase de elogios a superiores y subordinados. Precisamente Tom Hicks uno de los propietarios del club, descalificó la pasada temporada publicamente las aptitudes directivas del hasta final de temporada director ejecutivo, por su mala gestión de los apartados comerciales de la entidad.
Tampoco con Rafael Benítez fueron muy apacibles sus relaciones. Las continuas injerencias de Parry ante los fichajes sugeridos por el técnico madrileño, fueron constantes desde la llegada de Benítez a Anfield en verano del 2004, acrecentándose más si cabe, en la presente temporada.
Con la renovación de Rafael Benítez todavía en negociaciones, ésta cobra mayor firmeza ante la salida de Parry anunciada en el dia de hoy. El técnico madrileño desde siempre ha afirmado que su continuidad no dependia en ningún caso de un aumento en su remuneración, pero si, en otros aspectos tales como mayor control sobre toda la estructura deportiva del club desde su base en The Academy -escuela de futbol sita en Kirkby- hasta el primer equipo. Rick Parry se opuso siempre a esta idea.
La continuidad de Benítez en Anfield, parece pues, más próxima a materializarse.

Liverpool have confirmed Rick Parry will leave the club at the end of the season. The chief executive, who has been embroiled in a power struggle with Rafael Benitez, will depart from Anfield, which will represent a massive victory for the manager.
This development comes at the end of a fraught week for the club during which rumours have circulated that the manager had been dismissed. Benitez has emerged stronger after the Champions League victory over Real Madrid on Wednesday, but the painful politics of Liverpool mean that even today's development does not make the manager's situation palpably clearer.
Parry has been negotiating a payoff for the past few weeks. He was known to be an ally of George Gillett Jr, Hicks's fellow co-owner, but the pair are believed to have fallen out over the stories that surfaced on Wednesday suggesting that Benitez was about to leave the club.
"Rick's commitment to Liverpool Football Club is epitomised by his desire to ensure that this transitional period is managed efficiently and we are grateful to him for his help," Tom Hicks, the Liverpool co-owner, said. "He will always remain a friend of the football club."
Gillett has found no buyer for his 50 per cent stake, but this latest development opens the door to a change of ownership at Anfield because the American has lost his last ally at the club.
"I have had 12 very exciting years at Liverpool and am extremely proud of what has been achieved by the club over that period," Parry said. "The victory in Madrid was a wonderful reminder of the many high points we have experienced and adds to the moments that make Liverpool and its magnificent fans so special.
"It has been a privilege to serve the club and as a lifelong supporter I wish the owners, Rafa [Benitez], the players and the wonderful staff all the very best for the future. I will be leaving at the end of the season knowing that the club remains strong and with a set of supporters who deserve success in all that Liverpool does."

Efectivamente, espero que la marcha de Parry, significa que Rafa sigue. Obviamente le necesiamos absolutamente a él, y a dueños que inviertan en el futuro del club!
