La victoria del Liverpool al Manchester por 1-4 en Old Trafford ha devuelto la esperanza al conjunto 'red'. Steven Gerrard aseguró tras el partido que "el Liverpool puede ganar la Premier y Fernando Torres es la llave para conseguirlo". El capitán alabó al delantero español y destacó el gran partido que realizó ante el Manchester United.
"Es mágico. Es el mejor delantero del mundo y mucha gente coincidirá conmigo. Si seguimos a partir de ahora en esta línea tenemos opciones de llevarnos la liga inglesa", dijo Gerrard. El capitán del Liverpool reconoció que "Torres y yo nos entendemos muy bien".

Obviamente es un hombre clave, junto con Gerrard es la única amenaza continua de gol que tiene el equipo. Y es un jugador con ese extra que tienen los cracks como él que de la nada te saca un partido grande adelante.
Florentino Perez presentara su candidatura a la presidencia del R Madrid y parte de su programa es fichar cracks. En su lista estan GERRARD Y TORRES. XD. Yo me parto de la risa, como se puede vender humo de esa manera...
Ninguno de los dos va a ir al Madrid ni por todo el oro del mundo. Torres ya fue "invitado" al club de Chamartin y acabo en Anfield.

"It's not about how we would get him to stay, he would never leave.
"The fans love him, the manager loves him, and he is our captain. Trust me when I say he is going nowhere."
Madrid fans sang Gerrard's name as Liverpool warmed down in an emptying Anfield after Tuesday's game and Torres added: "They may have been chanting his name, but nobody will chant his name louder than the Liverpool fans and I know the relationship he has with our supporters. They are his family."
Torres added: "You have players that are great team players - like Stevie is.
"But the truly great players can win the matches on their own when the rest of their team are not playing to the level that they should be.
"How many times have you seen Stevie do that? He just takes the game over by himself and delivers.
"How many players in the world can do that? Maybe five.
"That is how special a talent he is. He took on a Champions League Final and won it. Yes, it was a great team performance against Madrid but when Stevie is in that form he looks like he could take on any team on his own.
"He is the best player I have ever played with, and I have played with some great players with Spain and Liverpool.
"He could easily be the best player in the world."
Torres believes the 5-0 aggregate hammering of Real justifies his decision to leave Atletico.
He said: "This is the reason why I came to Liverpool.
"I made it clear the only club I'd leave Atletico for was Liverpool and now I can see why.
"Tuesday was a statement we are not be taken lightly. We know the defeat of Madrid means nothing now. It doesn't matter who we draw now - there is no easy game - but there is serious belief in the Liverpool dressing room we can win a sixth European Cup."

Ya se dio aquí tras la venta de Keane, que Torres no podía cojer ni un resfriado... El tiempo ha dado la razón..
Hay que vender humo, como siempre.
Recordemos que a Torres ya lo quisieron incluir en el programa electoral de Villar Mir las pasadas elecciones y Fernando les dijo que ni se les ocurriese sacar su nombre a la palestra.
Tras la eliminatoria contra el Madrid, ¿cómo alguien puede plantearse tan siqueira que Torres vaya interesarse pro jugar allí? ¿Qué tiene que hacer? ¿Unos cortes de manga a la aficción vikinga? ¿Y Gerrard? ¿Para qué va a dar un paso atrás en su carrera? Por favor, si vienen de humillarlos en Europa.
De todos modos cada semana es diferente. La semana pasada eran Alonso y Villa, esta semana son Torres y Gerrard, la que viene será Arshavin y Cesc... y el cuento de nunca acabar.

Esta semana, en el Larguero, Alfredo Relaño llamó poco menos que tontos a sus lectores, después de la famosa portada de que Florentino iba a por Xabi y Gerrard, dijo "¿quién va a creerse que el Madrid va a fichar a todos los futbolistas que proponemos como posibles fichajes?", es decir, hablando en cristiano, nosotros (ellos) a lo largo de un año ponemos en nuestra portada a todos los futbolistas medio buenos del mundo vinculados al Real Madrid, para así, el día que realmente fichen a alguno poner en portada "As/Marca ya lo adelantó el (x dia) de (x mes)"
Lo peor es que hay quién se lo toma en serio.
